What is a Wellness Coach?
A
Wellness Coach is a person who helps you maximize your
personal health and wellness. There is an abundance of health
information available and it can be difficult to know if your
current exercise plan, diet regimen, and relaxation strategies
are truly the best for you, your life, and your pocketbook.
Your coach will help you clarify your goals, review your
current strategies, and assess their effectiveness. Based on
the information you provide, your coach will help you
determine how your plan can be even more effective in meeting
your goals.

Who uses a Wellness Coach?
People who use coaches recognize that their lives go better
when they have someone who is one-hundred percent on their
team. These people want great lives, not just good ones. They
are business owners, associates, athletes, leaders, friends, moms, dads,
husbands, and wives.

How many types
of coaches are there?
There
are many types of coaches available today. Some
coaches are extremely skilled in helping with
specific types of businesses, life issues, or
relationships. Some people find it useful to have
more than one coach in their life. For example, a
Financial Coach and a Relationship Coach might be
useful to someone who is seeking very specific
guidance regarding finances but who also wants to
improve their friendships.

How do I know if a coach is right for me?
Call or
email the coach and have a brief
conversation with them to see if they might be the
right coach for you. If you feel comfortable talking
with them and you feel better for having had the
conversation, then they may be a good coach for you
to work with. Feel free to ask them about their
background, their coaching specialty, and what they
like best about their own lives. You'll gain plenty
of information through these questions. Trust your
gut feeling when it comes down to choosing or not
choosing each coach you speak with.

How do coaching sessions work?
Sessions may take place either in person or on the telephone.
Every session begins with a conversation to help clarify what
you want from your coaching experience.
Once clarity is achieved, the conversation moves toward what
you perceive your barriers to be. The more easily you can
identify your barriers, the more quickly your coach can help
you move past them.
Whether in the office or on the telephone, the session will
almost always end with bodywork or a mind-body exercise that
will help you more easily have the changes you desire in
your life. Entering into a coaching relationship is a
partnership. In a partnership, all participants are equal.
Each person contributes effort, attention, and energy toward a
common goal.

Is coaching the same
as therapy?
Coaching is not the same as therapy or counseling.
Coaching helps you build a bridge toward a future that you
declare.
Psychotherapy and counseling help you understand and sort out
your past and your present.

What is bodywork?
Bodywork is a general term that includes modalities such as
Massage Therapy, Rossiter workouts, and Neuro-Integration.
These types of work help your mind and body integrate the
changes you want for yourself and for your life.

What is an Ah-Ha Moment?
An Ah-Ha Moment is
that instant in time when you realize something you have never
realized before! At their best, these moments bring a powerful
and wonderful clarity to the situation you have been
struggling with.
